Thank you for your responses to the Italy quiz question from my last post. Here are the question, the answer and the winners!

Quiz Question: Below is a picture of a great work of art in Italy containing a Jewish theme. Name the artist, location or theme of this work.

Quiz Answer: The picture depicts one panel of the famous gold doors created by Lorenzo Ghiberti for the Baptistry in Florence Italy in the 15th Century.Ghiberti created these amazing gold plated doors with 10 panels. Five depict stories from the Torah (The Hebrew Bible) and 5 contain episodes from the Christian Bible. The quiz picture is the story of God giving the 10 Commandments to Moses. Click on the picture to zoom in and you will see God flying in the air with the angels. God is handing the two tablets of the 10 Commandments to Moses who is on top of Mt. Sinai. At the foot of the mountain are the Israelites waiting for Moses to come down and lead them.
